0810hrs: Hazel is now being shifted to the birth room. We are now at birth room number seven. Room looks nice and comes with attached toilet. She still has not really slept throughout the night. Not very sure how to help her on that.
0908hrs: Dr Adelina Wong came over to take a look at Hazel just when I finished asking the nurse about when the doctor will be coming.
0920hrs: Dr Adelina Wong told us that she is now dilated to about 3cm. An estimate will be about 1600hrs to 1800hrs for the birth.
Later, Hazel also told me that the water bag is already broken. She is also put under drip to simulate consistent contractions and assist in dilation.
0940hrs: Hazel is in lots of labour pain. She cried. My heart hurts. I keep holding back my tears too. It must have really hurt a lot as her pain threshold has always been way above mine. We decided on administrating epidural. She did try on taking the gas to relieve pain but it is not really working well. Hazel then signed on the epidural constant form.
0950hrs: The doctor that was supposed to do the epidural came. A male doctor. Hazel cringes when he was injecting the numbing medicine. She is still crying. I can see that she is in lots of pain. I felt so helpless as there was nothing much I could do. I only could help hold her head and knee in order to get the spine in a curve shape and thus exposing the epidural space. The best part is he told us to enjoy after doing the epidural. ????? Don't think it is something that I consider as being enjoying?
1000hr: Effects of the epidural has started to kick in as she starts to feel not so much pain from the contractions. But she is still crying non stop. I think she is worried about lots of things.
I then let her settle down and we both drifted into a short nap.
1328hrs: Dr Wong came back to do a check again. She is now dilated to 5cm and the estimated time still remains.
PS: This post is by bluetooth tethering my iPhone to the macbook. I can't even find the wireless network for TMC here.
