In this photo set, he is at Day 80. Time really flies. Jayden has progressed from not being able to really control his head to having some strength to lift his head up from quite an extended period of time.
Here, Hazel is flipping Jayden to the side for tummy time while he is awake!
Jayden trying to lift his head up after we flipped him to the side.
His head at a higher position now after some efforts at lifting his head without our help.
His attempts at shifting his head around! Not bad for him!
Tummy time over! And we carried him up!! Happy Jayden!
He always smiles happily with his eyes in a inverted U shape. So cute!!
That's all for today!!
Tummy Time Notes for Parents:
- Give your baby tummy time when he is awake and alert. It will help to relieve the pressure on his back of the head.
- Do not let the baby fall asleep on his stomach. (I actually thought it is ok till I read tons of article stating the high risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS))
- Supervise your baby at all times when he is on his tummy
- Tummy time also helps to strengthen his neck muscles in preparation for his to control his head without being supported.
