Following our first beach experience, we went to our favorite restaurant for dinner - Sushi Tei @ Vivocity. As usual, this place has queues even at 5pm when it is still not mealtime!
Our little excited Jayden in the restaurant. He was actually so exhausted that he fall asleep on the short drive from Sentosa to Vivocity. I actually tried to wake him up but he could not open his eyes. Not sure why he suddenly got so awake when we went into Sushi Tei. Hazel said he is probably too tired and then too happy.
Chawanmushi ($4.20) was always one of the dishes that we order. What I like about the chawanmushi here is that it has this one piece of ginko nut at the bottom and I LOVE ginko nuts. SUPER LOVE. And do eat it warm, it taste really quite fishy when it cools down. Ewwww.
Salmon Wafuu Carpaccio ($11.00). We tried this before a long time ago and we liked the savory sauce that goes together with this. Eating it with all the vegetables make this a very mouth watering appetizer.
I am getting really quite conscious of my growing tummy. And so, I ordered a "healthier choice". Cha Soba.
This is the Tenzuru ChaSoba - ChaSoba with assorted tempura ($13.00). The stand alone Cha Soba is $8.50. The soba here is quite okay but it still doesn't beat the soba speciality restaurant that I went at NEX.
Salmon Yoridori ($11.00) is for Hazel. She loves Sushi Tei. I dun mind coming here often too since the sushi is one of the better ones around at not too exorbitant prices.
Mini Golden Roll ($11.00). Mango was sweet for that day. One of the wife's favorite too.
And Jayden attempts to scoop the chanwanmushi by himself. He is really in a very good behavior for that meal. I guess he is really too tired to be cranky.
Shishamo ($5.00). Can't remember when I started liking to eat this. The shishamo wasn't done nicely that day. It was also not really fresh.
Soft Shell Crab Temaki ($5.20). For her! I am having healthier choice meal! I spent a total of $71.56 which was quite the usual price we paid for a meal at Sushi Tei.
My healthier choice kinda fail with this Cream Puff ($1.60) from Yamazaki that I got from J cube while on the way home. It does look good but it taste pretty below average. Even Bread Papa puffs are so much better.
