OK. Short post today as I have not much time. I am recently infaturated with my spanking new Olympus OMD EM5. But there is one little pesky problem that I can't seem to resolve.
I HATE THE STRAP.
I am not a fan of neck straps. I have a neck strap on my Canon 60D too but that's the Optech strap where you can snap in and out of the long strap to make it more "strapless". Hmmm.
So, while surfing around after going crazy reading tons of journal papers for my schoolwork, I chanced upon this - Andy's Camera Straps. WOW, that looked nice, somemore Singapore made le. Don't play play! But after googling a little more, I found out that his strap was the "knock off" or copycat.
Gordy was the originator of this type of camera straps. The original. Accept no substitutes. And I have this habit of buying from the person that created it and since he ships to Singapore. Why not? It is just one click away.
And there is my lovely new strap. Feels great, feels strong and best of all, I know I am buying from the original guy.
One thing to take note though. Shipping will take about 2 weeks to arrive in your mailbox. I was worried that mine was lost in the mail and I emailed gordy to ask about it. Without hesitation, he offered to send another one if it still doesn't arrive, but it came into my mailbox just 2 days later. I am absolutely pleased with his level of service. Now I am only missing one O ring bumper. Forgot to place it in my order with Gordy. Guess I am going to his reseller at John 3:16 to check it out when I have the time.
Oh, by the way, my strap costed me USD$18 including shipping to Singapore, i.e. $23.64 (as seen from my credit card bill). That is even cheaper than the copycat version which retails at $28. Do note that I have nothing against Andy AND this post is not an advertorial AND I have not received any form of compensation for promoting this.
I just like the strap.
Simple.
And I support original.
If you own a mirrorless camera and prefer wrist straps, Gordy strap will make you happy.
